SpaceX Launch - Falcon 9 Crew-1

In T-2.0 Hours, at 7:27pm ET today, NASA and SpaceX will launch the first of a series of regular flights of astronauts from America to the International Space Station (ISS).

Crew-1 is comprised of NASA astronauts Victor Glover, Michael Hopkins, Shannon Walker, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchi.

After suit-up and photos at the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout building, Crew-1 waved good-bye to loved ones before entering Tesla Model X's and heading on their way to Launch Complex 39A.

At about T-45 minutes, the supercooled Liquid Oxygen and RP-1 (rocket propellant) fuel will be loaded into the 9 Merlin engines. Then countdown to lift-off.

This is the first FAA sanctioned commercial space launch. Boeing will soon join the ranks.

God speed and safe travels, Crew-1!
